The Vegaster 7: Top 7 Spas in Vegas
The Spa at Encore: Starting the spa search here was a colossal mistake, as it set the bar way too high for the rest of them. There is an Asian-Middle Eastern flair to the décor, and these incredibly large sofas and chairs that you never want to get up from. We went all out with spa treatments, mani-pedis, massage and facials. The menu is vast and the only drawback as you just want to dive into it all. While the guys of course thought that the massages were the bomb – the spa treatment you have to try is a “Transforming Ritual” called the Encore Escape. Heated elements like stones and poultices combined with a full scalp massage, absolute heaven.
Spa Bellagio: The Bellagio doesn’t miss a beat when it comes to spa treatments. There is a room (or two or even four) for everything, including Thai massages, hydrotherapy, Watsu and Vichy. Don’t feel bad, we didn’t know what the heck some of those were either. But it makes no difference, the staff here was so helpful and friendly that we were whisked away to what they promised would be a mind and body blowing experience. And they delivered. Best spa treatment was by far the Bellagio Detox to Relax. Three hours of pampering, massage and facial masks and a detox. Which after our first week in Vegas, we needed.
Canyon Ranch Spa: It takes two hotels to house the biggest spa in Vegas. Canyon Ranch is more than a spa, it is a full service wellness center-gym-spa-fun zone. We even got to climb a 40ft high rock wall for
The Spa at The Mandarin Oriental: The Mandarin Spa is the most modern on our list in term of technologies, yet it still feels warm and intimate inside. The stand out feature is its emphasis on couple treatments. We had to get creative here, but once you get started, you almost forget you have company. We can see how the treatments can be very intimate for a couple who is enjoying a romantic holiday. The spa treatment pick really drives home why this is considered a 5 Star Spa: Oriental Harmony is not one, but two massage therapists that first give you a body scrub before working on your head and feet at the same time. When finished, you are so relaxed you can’t figure out which way is up.
Qua Baths and Spa at Caesars: This is what you picture if you have never been inside a spa. Roman statuary, stone tiled pools and of course Roman baths. And then there is a magical feel as soft colored lighting gives the rooms a mystical effect. This plays off of the treatments which all seemed to revolve around Native American remedies. When it came to picking spa treatments, we went practical here and chose the anti-cellulite & body firming treatment. Because really, who doesn’t need a little of that?
Reliquary Spa at the Hard Rock: This is exactly what you would expect from the Hard Rock. Dark gothic tones with touches of class all over the place set the tone for a modern spa experience that infuses relaxing therapies with a bit of musical whimsy. From rock and roll lyrics used as artwork, to a spa menu full of rock and roll references, Reliquary Spa is the gem inside of the rock. And speaking of, our spa treatment pick was the Rock My World, which used real rocks to massage our worries away.
Don’t blow off the spa experience on your trip to Vegas. Somewhere in between the tequila shots and rolls of the dice, take the time to take care of yourself. You can bet you won’t regret it.
