Vegaster 7: 7 Shows You Don’t Want to Miss in Vegas
Vegas! The Show
If you have a thing for the tawdry history of Vegas then you won’t want to miss Vegas! The Show. Playing twice a night at the Planet Hollywood, Vegas! takes you on a musical journey spanning back to when a King ruled the stage and a Rat Pack ruled the city. Voted the best show in Vegas (and that’s saying a lot) Vegas! The Show shows you first-hand how the city became the entertainment capital of the world.
When you are Steve Wynn and you want a production show as riveting as a Cirque du Soleil presentation, you just make your own. Le Reve is a dream, beautiful and mesmerizing, taking place in and around a million gallon tank of water. Like a dream, there is no storyline, but instead a series of events played out in water stunts, acrobatics, gymnastics and dance moves. Even if you have seen it before, it is worth a second view, as The Wynn Resort changes elements of the show every 6 months.
CLOSING September 18th!
Oh What A Night you will have when you see the Jersey Boys at the Paris Hotel’s Le Theatre Des Arts. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons was one of the highest grossing musical acts in American history. You might be too young to think you know the music, but once the show starts you’ll be singing alongside the cougars in the crowd. This is a lively, fun musical that shows how a couple of guys from Jersey became an international pop sensation.
If you are hell bent on a Cirque du Soleil spectacular, then make it O at the Bellagio Theater. Like le Reve, this is a water based production, yet adding fiery-like elements that will take your breath away. The best way to describe O is to visualize walking through a modern art gallery, where all the prints suddenly come to life. O is art, brought alive and breathing through the 85 performers who defy your wildest imaginations.
In a town where entertainment is taken so seriously, it is refreshing to find a show that doesn’t take itself seriously at all. Held in a circus tent outside of Caesar’s Palace, Absinthe is an adult only burlesque of sorts, driven by a filthy mouthed “Gazillionaire”. A parade of variety acts blow on and off the stage, each one a bit racier or raunchier than the last. As an audience member expect to be teased with death-defying stunts and half naked performers so close you can reach out and grab them.
Raiding the Rock Vault
LAST SHOW August 1st, 2016
Featuring an array of musicians who have been associated with some of rock music’s biggest names, Raiding the Rock Vault takes you back in time to the most incredible Lollapalooza ever. Classic rock fans love having the spirits of legends like the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi, The Who, AC/DC and so many more brought together in one incredible show. Grab your tightest jeans and tease your hair a mile high before heading to the Tropicana for this rockin’ and rollin’ show.
Marriage Can Be Murder
If you want a completely out the box Vegas show, check into The D in downtown Vegas. Marriage Can Be Murder is cheesy kind of fun, where you and other dinner guests are invited to help solve a murder mystery. This is not a spectacular like other Vegas shows, but it is funny, interactive and an entirely different type of experience than what is found everywhere else.
Over 70% of visitors to Vegas are taking in at least one show during their visit, and for very good reason. This is an entertaining town, with music, dancing, acrobatics and the occasional killing, all set to stage for our viewing pleasure. Why wait in long lines or waste time thinking, book your show tickets right from your phone with VEGASTER. Las Vegas made better.
