Location – Planet Hollywood encompasses its own little world on the strip, next to Paris and across the way from the Cosmopolitan.
The Theme – Just like the restaurants of the same name, Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino is themed around all things movies. You’ll come across cool memorabilia in curious corners, set into table tops and even inside large display cases.
Rooms – This is a great hotel for doing Vegas on the cheap, especially if you are looking for a loud and party-like environment. Basic rooms will be missing some amenities, but for less than a C-note this is something most are happy to overlook. Upgrade to a Batman Suite, where you and your friends will be treated like the super heroes you think you are.
Restaurants – The energetic vibe of Planet Hollywood spills over onto their restaurant line-up. Day and night you’ll be facing an array of enticing eateries, all featuring high quality food and stellar service.
Spice Market Buffet – Voted as one of the best buffets in Vegas, Spice Market offers a wide selection of dishes from all over the globe.
Gordon Ramsay BURGR – His reputation for culinary perfection shines, even in as something as simple as your classic cheeseburger.
Ringer Wings, Pizza & Sliders Sportsbook – You have to love when the restaurant name spells out exactly what you’ll find on the menu.
Pin – Up Pizza – Pizza by the slice that’s so big, they cut in two. Plus a stream of pizza girls dressed like a 1950’s pin-up poster – what more do you need?
Strip House – An upscale steakhouse featuring quality cuts of beef, tantalizing sides, and an infamously sinful dessert menu.
Planet Dailies – Your hotel café and pastry shop, where you can grab a quick bite before hitting the street.
P.F. Chang’s – The popular contemporary Chinese chain brings fresh energy and ingredients in this bistro styled setting.
Pink’s Hot Dogs – Made famous out in Hollywood, the iconic hot dog sensation feels right at home inside Planet Hollywood.
YOLOS – The energetic vibe in this Mexican Cantina is only enhanced by their offering of over 60 distinct tequilas.
Earl of Sandwich – Open around the clock to sate all cravings, your simple sandwich turns phenomenal with a choice of fresh breads and prime ingredients.
KOI – Yet another Hollywood Blvd icon, this Japanese restaurant has brought with it the high quality and sophisticated flavors it is famous for.
Planet Hollywood makes a strong case for party food, with a few samplings of upscale for when you’re eating to impress. The selection of restaurants is perfectly rounded to give you the best of every dining world. If you don’t find something to sate your appetite, there are at least a dozen more options at the nearby Miracle Mile Shops.
Gambling – The gambling center inside of Planet Hollywood feels more like a ‘70’s disco with its flashing lights, go-go dancers and scantily dressed dealers. All your slots and table games are here, but be careful not to let all that distracting excitement make you lose your shirt.
Shows – The Axis is Planet Hollywood’s own intimate theater, which routinely books A-lister residencies like Jennifer Lopez and Brittney Spears. The long running Crazy Girls has also taken up residency at Planet Hollywood, happily making home a theater named just for them. The Miracle Mile Shops has a theater of its own, with its own long list of exclusive shows and events. V-Variety, Zombie Burlesque, Stripper 101 and Paul Zerdin to name a few.
Clubs and Bars – The entire hotel feels like an overgrown nightclub, so it only needs a couple of swank bars and lounges for one to wet their whistle. Heart Bar has the DJ spun music and VIP tables, which make the comfortable lounge feel more club-like, without the big crowds and tight spaces.
The Day Club – Who needs a DJ when you have a Flow Rider? Planet Hollywood has the strips only wave-in-a-box, where surfers and boogie boarders can still get their kicks, even in the desert. Other, more calming, pools around the resort have live DJs, cabanas and bikini contests during pool season.
Shopping – Close to 200 stores and restaurants make up the Miracle Mile Shops, a glamorous complex that looks and feels a lot like Rodeo Drive, only bigger. The other big difference is your selection of shops is not quite as refined, making it possible for anyone to afford something here.
Other Cool Stuff – The V and Saxe Theaters in the Miracle Mile Shops give you a wide range of entertaining shows to choose from. Variety acts, stripper class, monster burlesque and more, are all playing throughout the day and night at either of these two modern theaters.
Worth the Stay? – The constant state of party makes parts of Planet Hollywood seem a little frayed around the edges, but these slight imperfections are easily overlooked once you grab hold of the exciting vibe of the resort. When you are looking for something slightly different in your Vegas visit, Planet Hollywood has the extras available to fulfill that fantasy.
