Which Vegas Theme Strokes Your Inner Fantasy?
Themes are not only for parks and birthday parties. In Vegas, the overall theme is uninhibited fun, which can be carried out in a number of smaller themed hotels. Whether you want to play Prince William for your stay or air jam to Queen, there’s a room in Vegas to make your wishes come true.
Excalibur – The Excalibur Hotel dripping in its castle theme, and you will feel like royalty when staying there. You don’t pay royal prices however as this is Vegas ballin’ on a budget, with class. There isn’t much in the way of nightlife here, other than a few shows and unique bars. But that’s okay because the Excalibur is very conveniently connected to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay, broadening your horizons without ever having to step outside the palace gate.
Luxor – You can’t escape the Ancient Egyptian charm of the Luxor as you walk on by the Sphinx to get to the front door. The décor inside has toned down a lot from what it used to be, but the pyramid shape helps to keep the King Tut vibe alive. You’ll definitely want to check out LAX Nightclub’s Throwback Thursday, where all bets are on to you being encouraged to “Walk Like an Egyptian”.
New York New York – High speed cabs, hot dog stands and Lady Liberty looking down on you are all you need to feel at home – if your home is the Big Apple. New York New York has mastered the city that never sleeps feel with a diverse selection of bars and restaurants. Broadway is covered too, with the risqué and brilliant Zumanity from Cirque Du Soleil.
Circus Circus – Don’t book a room at Circus Circus unless you; a) are traveling with kids or b) don’t mind spending your vacation with other people’s kids. The theme here is obvious and brilliantly pulled off, from the adventure park rides right down to the carnival games. Yes, there is a casino, and a bar, but the rest of your nightlife options all include cotton candy and winning big stuffed animals.
Planet Hollywood – You guessed right, Planet Hollywood is all about bringing the glamour of tinsel town into Vegas. Movie memorabilia can be found in every nook and cranny, including your room, but the real wink to stardom is the hotel’s entertainment. 5 theatres are placed about Planet Hollywood, playing up to 20 different shows at any given time. This includes the dueling divas Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, in separate concert corners of course.
Hard Rock Hotel – Party like a rock star is the running theme here, which is one of the many reasons why the Hard Rock Hotel is such a popular hang-out for the bachelor/ette crowd. You won’t escape from the loud music and tributes to rock, and you won’t want to if the likes of Guns ‘N Roses or Kiss is playing at their Joint. In warmer weather take the party outside to Vegas’ first and finest pool party at Rehab.
Don’t leave the themed fantasies for the kids in amusement parks. Customize your stay in Vegas to reflect the inner child that is dying to be let out to play.
