Vegas Ballin’ on a Budget: When is the Best Time to Get the Best Deals?
It’s no secret that a weekend vacation in Vegas can set you back a couple of car payments. Aggressive advertising and the addition of attractions that make it appealing to both men and women, families with kids and even the gramps, it has become the vacation destination of the masses. Throw in the hundreds of conventions it hosts each year and you start to wonder how there is even a room available on the strip. Don’t worry, we have some tips on the right times to go to get great packages and rates. So good in fact that you may even have a little cash left over to actually gamble with.
Picking the right time to hit up sin city is all about supply and demand. You should know how that works. Comic Con convention in Vegas this week? The thousands of "fans" that will be demanding rooms will limit the supply, and the prices go up. July and August are typically slow convention months, plus with the blazing desert heat a lot of people avoid Nevada altogether. But casinos do have air conditioning and so do the nightclubs so there is no reason to let the heat deter you. Yeah, Dayclubs have great pool parties as well!
If you do want some fresh air during the day get it at the Bellagio Pool. 5 luxurious pools surrounded by Italy inspired stone fountains, makes this the perfect daytime spot to cool off. Being in Vegas during an off peak time will allow you to reserve one of the Bellagio’s luxurious cabanas for only $300 bucks. With room for 8, you and your guests have your own cabana host to see to your desires, a private patio, T.V, and a mister system to cool you off. The fridge comes stocked with non-alcoholic drinks and your hostess can bring you drinks from the bar which offers a wide array of summer-time concoctions starting at $15.
If you really just can’t take the heat, book your Vegas trip for the weekend after a 3 day holiday. During holiday weekends it’s hard for even Prince Harry to get a room, but the following Friday everything slows down while the world recuperates from the melee. You and 3 of your friends could kick off your shoes in a Hollywood Hip Suite at Planet Hollywood for about $200 each a night after Labor Day. If you are looking for luxury on a budget, the weekends after is the way to do it.
Another good time to do a Vegas vay-cay without having to count your pennies is while the rest of the world is busy at the mall. The 2 weeks leading up to Christmas are notoriously slower in Vegas making it a great time to check out the smaller hot spots like Hyde at the Bellagio which would otherwise be more expensive and crowded during the busy months. Get your VIP table during off season and you will actually find a spot on the dance floor to bump grind while the Bellagio Fountain is going off right in front of you. That’s good stuff.
It is not impossible to get the VIP treatment in Vegas on a low baller budget. Just use your Vegaster app to find out when the big sporting events and concerts are coming to town and book your trip for the week after. Vegas does not have to be overflowing with people for you to get to live out your fantasy, in fact, in this case less will get you more.
