Traversing the Vegas Strip While the Sun Shines

At over 4 miles long, you might think that making your way up and down the Vegas Strip is more exercise than it’s worth. But after some long walks, and careful deliberation, we have figured out how you can squeeze a week’s worth of food, drinks and sites into one day, starting off when the sun starts to shine and ending when it’s about to shine again. Here’s your step by step (literally) guide to get you from breakfast to just before dinner, all before it gets dark.

The Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip

Good Morning Vegas!

An iconic Vegas buffet is the ideal way to fuel up before your big walk down the strip. The MGM Grand breakfast buffet has enough variety to please all palates, and with endless trips back and forth your table, you’ll get all the energy you need to start your day. After you have had your fill, set your sights across the street to the Monte Carlo and get your first booze fix at the Double Barrel Roadhouse sitting outside on the patio, overlooking the strip.

Now it’s time to shop Vegas style. Just a few yards down the strip is the Shops at Crystals, home to dozens of luxury stores to entice your wallet open. Splurge on those Gucci sunglasses, or trade in those pants for something Vegas worthy at Versace. There is plenty of window shopping inside the shops to keep you busy right up until lunch time.

Time For Lunch

Lucky for you, you’re right across the strip from Planet Hollywood, and Gordon Ramsay BurGR. Sink your teeth into an exclusive Hog Burger with a side of sweet potato fries in a high energy environment that will get you geared up for the afternoon. Just make sure to walk off your lunch at Bally’s Bazaar Shops, right next door, before embarking on the ride of your life.

Early afternoon is the perfect time to take on the High Roller. This beast of a ferris wheel gives you an unprecedented view of the strip and beyond, as you make your way around this 30 minute ride. You’ll need another drink after that, and thankfully Carnaval Court is a chip’s toss away at Harrah’s. This open air bar features live music all day, and an array of energetic bartenders who will serve you a cold drink with flair.

By now, the sun is making its final hoorah for the day, and you have just enough time for one more drink (or two) before thinking about dinner. Get bubbly, at the sparkling Laguna Champagne Bar inside of the luxurious Palazzo. This effervescent lounge provides the perfect atmosphere to toast your walk up the strip with a bubbling cocktail before embarking on part 2 of your Vegas adventure.
