From Sizzling Hot to Icy Cold the Blvd is a Whirlwind of Savory Sensations
The strip-side plaza outside of the Monte Carlo is host to a diverse selection of culinary treats combined with al fresco dining and array of live entertainment. This is a perfect location to kick back, relax and watch the Vegas world pass you by at any one of the unique restaurants that make up the Blvd.
Sambalatte – There are those of us who like a hot cup of coffee, and then there are those who delight in it. Sambalatte is for them. Complete with an assortment of coffee beans from all over the world is a café style menu serving breakfast and lunch items alongside delectable pastries to dip into your gourmet cup of joe. Forget the green and white signs that are all over Vegas, when you want an authentic coffee house atmosphere, stop off at Sambalatte.
Double Barrel – Bring your ten gallon and dive into a plate of good ol’ southern-style food, chased by an ice cold wine cooler served in a mason jar. Double Barrel is an energetic restaurant, complete with a bevy of southern belles traipsing around the upper levels to the beat of the banjo. Take it outside onto the impressive patio and tip your hat to the rest of Vegas.
Yusho - Only one year old, and this award winning street restaurant has already made a big impact on the Vegas culinary world. The name may seem uptight, but the atmosphere is anything but. The menu is simple street food, letting a steaming hot grill bring out the natural flavors of meats and veggies, while you calmly wait in anticipation with a quality craft cocktail in hand.
800 Degrees – It’s the high quality, fresh ingredients, and hot as hell oven that make the Neapolitan pizza at 800 Degrees stand out in a town full of pizza joints. The menu is in build your own style but now worries about a wait, with an oven that hot, your pie is rolling out in one minute.
Diablo’s Cantina – Try on your horns at Diablo’s Cantina. This casual Mexican restaurant and bar by day turns into a sizzling hot club at night, where the only recourse is to cool off with an icy margarita. Happy hour starts at 3:00pm everyday, and you don’t want to miss out on your chance at the Wheel of Sin.
Blvd Creamery – Ironically, the coolest spot on the Blvd is next to the hottest. Right next door to Diablo’s is Blvd Creamery, where your temperature is lowered by an enticing array of ice cream treats, all made fresh on site. Pop a squat on a recycled milk can right outside on the strip, and lick your spoon to your heart’s content.
The Blvd in front of the Monte Carlo is relatively new to the strip, and with its splashes of water features and real live trees, it has brought a breath of fresh air to that side of town. Order up something yummy to eat, and wicked to drink, and whittle away a part of your day in this energetic atmosphere.
