Sing Us A Song: Big Time Performers Making a Stop in Las Vegas for 2014
Celebrity performances and concerts have been a Las Vegas staple since Elvis debuted at the International Hotel in 1969. Since then thousands of world renowned celebrities have graced every stage on the strip to delight and entertain fans from around the world. It looks like 2014 will be continuing that tradition with an array of concerts from some of our nearest and dearest performers.
Celine Dion: The diva is back at Caesars Palace for a one month run from February 18 to March 19. Her new show is a far cry from “A New Day” which was an up-beat production of her greatest hits. Her voice takes center stage in this production which features lots of ballads, a few favorites, and her personal renditions of well known hits from other artists.
Elton John “The Million Dollar Piano”: Or was I supposed to say Sir Elton John? Either way, the Rocket Man still puts on one heck of a show. He could play “Crocodile Rock” on a twenty dollar piano and the crowd would still go wild. If you are planning a Spring trip to Vegas this year come between April 22 and April 26 to catch this master performer live at Caesars Palace.
Tony Orlando: With a career spanning over half a decade, Mr. Orlando brings a touch of old school Vegas sophistication to the South Point Casino Hotel & Spa this April 25 to April 27. Even after all these years of heart thumping performances, when Tony Knocks 3 Times all the girls still answer.
Megadeth + Motorhead: Expect to see a lot of leather and long hair bedecking the lobby of the Palms Casino Resort on April 17th. Two legendary heavy metal bands join forces for one performance that even a die-hard Metallica fan wouldn’t want to miss. Bring your air guitar and get ready to rock.
Rod Stewart: Wake up Maggie it’s time to hear one of rocks biggest icons rasp his way through 5 decades of hits. Rod the Mod is due to play at Caesars Palace from April 30 through May 17 in what is sure to be a sold out crowd of spandex clad fans from around the globe.
Billy Joel: For one night only, the Piano Man himself will take over the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. His music is timeless and once you see him perform live you will understand why this multi award winning singer/songwriter is the 3rd best selling solo artist in the world. Whatever you have planned for June 7th, cancel it. This is a show you don’t want to miss.
Cher: The “Dressed to Kill” tour will be making a pit stop at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino on May 25th. Cher is the wonder woman of stage performance with over the top costumes and dance moves that will put Miley to shame. When you see Cher live you begin to believe that she really can Turn Back Time.
Journey, Air Supply, and Olivia Newton John are all also expected to make appearances in sin city this year. For the younger crowd there are Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and of course Brittney to look forward to. With a play list like this, Vegas remains the entertainment capital of the world.
