City Center’s Crystals:  Extreme Shopping for Extreme Spenders

Someone out there has 1,200 bucks to shell out for a dress, otherwise the extravagant Shops at Crystals would have to shut its gold rimmed doors.  Well, not really gold rimmed but they could be considering the number of high end boutiques and stores it houses.  Pretty women from all over the world can throw Rodeo Drive to the wayside once they check out the lineup of luxury that Crystals has to offer.

Crystals is located in the heart of City Center, the 67 acre resort and entertainment complex created by MGM resorts.  A symbol of Vegas hubris, City Center is its own metropolis inside of a megalopolis.  Since its grand opening in 2009, City Center has become the epitome of the Lavish Las Vegas Lifestyle.   Anchored by Aria Resort and Casino and Mandarin Oriental, City Center has its own array of five star restaurants, including concepts from Julian Serrano, Todd English and Wolfgang Puck.

Besides the three stunning spas, creative nightlife and luscious common spaces, City Center is also home to Crystals, a mall catering to those who appreciate the finer things in life.  Inside you will find the largest Louis Vuitton store in the country.  But before you take out your American Express Black Card, take a stroll and take in the sights.  If City Center is a Vegas metropolis, then this mall is one of its suburbs.  There is a natural feel to the interior design, as attractions include columns of colored ice, a living flower carpet and a real live aloe tree.

The best designers from around the world all have a claim inside of Crystals.  That includes names like Gucci, Christian Dior, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Versace, Donna Karan.. you get the idea.  You will also find a small collection of art galleries featuring the works of world renowned artists Richard MacDonald, Rodney Lough Jr., and Dale Chihuly.  Of course a 500,000 square foot shopping venue like Crystals would not be complete without some diamond and pearls.  Do your jewelry shopping in style at a two story Tiffany & Co. or check out the selection of fine watches over at Cartier.  Whatever it is that puts miles on your Visa, you will find it at Crystals.

If you have a sudden hankering to own a black crystal sound system for your home, you will love the high end bric-brac on sale at Crystal’s latest addition to its upscale resident list.  The Lalique store opened this past April with shelves full of crystal objects, jewelry and eclectic accessories for your home.  Owned and designed by Lady Tina Green, one of the world’s wealthiest woman, Lalique is the answer to the up-scale novelty shop.  Think Bonanza, minus the chips and beer, for the rich and famous.

Las Vegas has become one of the premier shopping locations on the planet.  This makes sense for a city that has made a name for itself with the use of famous names.  Besides The Shops at Crystals, you will find a selection of malls, specialty shops and outlet centers across the city that are stocked full of leather and lace from all the top brands known around the globe.
