The Electric Daisy Carnival – or EDC since that sounds way cooler – is set to hit Vegas in June, and for those in the EDM know, they know that this is the party of the year. There’s gonna be rides, a flurry of glo-sticks and fireworks, and of course the best of EDM music from all around the world played out on 7 groovy stages. This is the furthest thing from an intimate affair you can imagine, with over 300,000 enthusiasts expected to swarm onto the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If you’ve got plans on becoming one with the music, then take a few tips from Vegaster:

Got Tickets?

If you don’t your wallet is going to feel it. Expect to pay over $400 for a general admission 3 day pass from a 3rd party vendor, while for VIP general admission you’ll be shelling out over $700. Check with Vegaster first, we still have some exclusive deals on VIP for EDC that get you in through a special door and access to some really cool activities (maybe even a ball pit).

Gotta Room?

The Speedway is a 20 mile trip from the strip, and they’re not letting anyone set up a tent. If you haven’t already booked a room…  well what the heck are you waiting for? The prices are already jacked up, and the closer to the 19th we get, the higher they will go. You can still find deals at hotels like the Tuscany and Tropicana, where 3 nights is still under $500 bucks, but once you get into places like the Venetian or Wynn plan on forking over at least $700 if not more. And that’s when you book in May, just wait and see what’s going to happen in June.

Gotta Way to Get There?

Since hoofing it is out of the question, you are going to need a creative way to get from your hotel to the carnival and back for 3 days. You could drive, which means you’ll have to drive to Vegas, or at least rent a car. But then you have to worry about the long line of traffic, and losing your car in the immense parking lot. Some of the helicopter tours are offering up packages with free air transportation to the Speedway which seems like a cool idea, if you have $500 to fork over one way. There are also shuttles that are going back and forth day and night – think party bus – where a 3 day pass will only put an 80 dollar dent in your glo-stick budget.

Got it All Covered… Now What?

Yes, there is an incredible list of performers planned for EDC 2015, but this is an experience for all the senses. There will be larger than life sculptures to play around, rides to squeal on and – rumor has it – a ball pit to jump into. It will be hot, and crowded, and there will be glow in the dark body paint, so leave the Prada at home and dress down for the weekend. Eat before, during and afterwards to keep up your energy – you will need it to check out all of the 7 stages. Drink whatever you want, but drink lots of water too; this is still a dessert even if the music is drowning out the coyotes.

EDC keeps getting bigger and better. If you love EDM, large crowds and a frenzy of activity, then this is the Vegas event that you don’t want to miss. Check out the VIP deals Vegaster still has, grab your glo-stick and get ready to nose dive into that ball pit.
