Activities That Will Make Your Adrenaline Soar
If you think losing a few G’s at the craps table is the most nail biting thing going on in Vegas, you need to get out of the hotel more. Vegas is full of thrills and heart-pounding experiences that will have you screaming to stop, and then screaming for more. Our more daring Vegaster adventurers lost their voices, but still managed to find the 7 most adrenaline-inducing activities in Vegas.
Exotic Racing – Who hasn’t dreamed of sitting behind the wheel of an exotic car and pressing the gas? The Las Vegas Motor Speedway gives car buffs just that chance every day of the week. Choose between an Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, or Aston Martin, put it in 1st and take off. If that sounds like too much too soon, you can be a passenger while a pro takes you for a spin in a Corvette Z06. Talk about getting your blood pumping again.
Machine Guns – Want to get a real feel for what a Vegas mobster life was like? Go ahead and try your hand at shooting an Uzi like a gangsta, or make like an FBI agent and take pop shots with a beretta. There are plenty of weapons to choose from, and plenty of fun ways to shoot them. Try a package that lets you train like a Navy SEAL, play like a real life gamer, or let off that recently divorced steam. Your heart may skip a beat at each shot, but the thrill is well worth it.
Dig This – If you were the kid building skyscrapers in the sandbox, then you are going to really dig Dig This. Kids young and old are given the keys to their very own, life-sized bulldozer or excavator and allowed to move as much earth as they want. This is a perfect Vegas family adventure, or bring the bachelor party gang and see who really is the lord of the sandbox.
Indoor Skydiving – Sounds a bit like an oxymoron, but once inside you won’t miss the sky part. Vegas Indoor Skydiving is a vertical 22 foot long wind tunnel, where you suit up and just jump right in. Located right on the strip, this is a much safer (and cheaper) way to get your thrills than the nearby craps tables.
Zip Lining – Zip lining has become a thing, so of course Vegas had to up the ante. There are two zip lines worth taking a fly on if you are looking for an adrenaline rush. First is the VooDoo ZipLine, which runs between two of the towers at the Rio hotel. Or go for the new Slotzilla, which flies you over Fremont St. either like a sitting duck or Superman. This exhilarating ride has an upper level for the really daring, and a lower level for the fainter of heart.
Stratosphere Thrill Rides – The tallest tower in Vegas also has an array of heart-stopping rides that literally take your breath away. Take a free fall from the 829 foot Sky Jump, blast off 160 feet straight into the air and then free fall back to earth on the Big Shot, or go for Insanity and hang off the edge of the tower at 900 feet. If you want more than just to hang, catapult off of its side head first inside of the X-Scream. If heights and speed are not your thing, then the adrenaline-inducing rides atop the Stratosphere are not for you.
Sky Combat Ace – Pack your Ray-bans because Sky Combat Ace is going to put you in the driver’s seat of a real live fighter plane. Flip over, take hairpin turns and cartwheel over the desert or learn how to be Top Gun with dog fighting maneuvers. A skilled fighter pilot will be at your side the whole time, just in case you need to let go of the controls and grab a paper bag.
Vegas is a thrill a second, even beyond the casino floor. If you are the adventure seeking vacation type, go ahead and add sin city and its nail biting attractions to your bucket list.
