The 5 Round Fight – A Side By Side Look at the Mirage Versus TI

Both the Mirage and Treasure Island Resorts have their advantages when it comes to your Vegas lodgings, the biggest being their typically lower rate scale. If you’re Vegas ballin’ on a budget and not sure which door to walk through, we have broken it down by the things that matter most:

Round 1: High End Grub

Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak at the Mirage – Warm natural surroundings and charcoal grills make for a great steak dinner, topped off by the expert hand of a celebrity chef and TV personality. Heritage Steak features high quality meats with your favorite side dishes.

Phil’s Italian Steakhouse at TI – Spaghetti meets steak in this sophisticated restaurant where any palate will be pleased. The menu consists of rich steak and seafood dishes along with an array of classic Italian fare.

Mirage and Heritage Steak wins the first round – It’s hard to resist an Italian Steakhouse personality, but Tom's just has a more diverse menu.

Round 2: After Hours Grub

BLT Burger at the Mirage (NOW CLOSED) Will reopen as LVB Burgers – Burgers of every type and topping are accompanied by your choice of fries in a relaxed restaurant setting. Oh, and they spike the milkshakes, what more do you want?

The Coffee Shop at TI – Overlooking the tropical pool, the Coffee Shop provides a diner type menu to guests, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner items no matter what time of the day or night.

TI wins the second round – It’s that menu full of choices that stands out. Plus they stay open 24/7.

Round 3: Suites in the $150 a Night Range

Strip View Room at the Mirage – Overlook the twinkling neon in this oversized room offers either a king size bed, or two queens if sharing with a friend. Cozy chairs at the window and your own mini bar make this a great room to just chill in.

Petite Suite at TI – Take a gander at the mountains from this rooms floor to ceiling windows from the comfort of your own sofa. This is a luxurious suite with marble accented bathrooms, whirlpool tub, and a king-sized bed you won’t want to get up from.

The Mirage takes the third round – Close call, but we have to go with the booze in the bedroom.

Round 4: Lounging With Libations

Stack at the Mirage – A cool design and even cooler drinks makes STACK a sweet spot to just chill at. The lounge is just off of the restaurant in case you want to sample some snacks while laying back.

Senor Frog’s at TI – There is nothing laid back about this Mexican themed lounge, which takes pleasure in its party atmosphere. If you want a club like experience, without having to actually go to a club, then Senor Frog’s is just for you.

The Mirage has the fourth round – Mainly because when you think lounge, you think completely chilled atmosphere, not a party.

Round 5: Nightlife Scene

1 Oak at the Mirage – Sexy and stimulating, 1 Oak invokes all of your senses at once, making you feel wildly uninhibited and sophisticated at the same time. This is a class-act Vegas nightclub that adds a splash of elegance to your revelry.

Gilley’s Saloon at TI – This modern day saloon, with its scantily clad bar maids, fits right in with the glitz and glamor of the Vegas strip. Cowboys and girls from all over are welcome to pull up a stool and get a glimpse of Vegas’ western side.

Treasure Island takes the fifth round – You can find bling all over the strip, but you’ll be hard pressed to find another mechanical bull.
