Vegaster 7: Nightclub/Dayclub Myths Debunked
For those who’ve never been, and even for some that have, what really happens at a Vegas club is perplexing. There are so many myths, legends and stories floating around that once you do get inside you’re either going to be horribly let-down, or too awed to drink. The Vegaster club crew put together this short list to make sure that once you do get inside, all is pretty much what you expected.
If You Get a VIP Table You are Going to Get to Meet P-Diddy
Or Lindsay Lohan or maybe even Paris Hilton. This is not going to happen. Most of the celebrities you see inside of a Vegas club are being paid to make an appearance. Those that are there because they can’t get enough of Afrojack are at the most expensive VIP booth, with a circle of bodyguards to block your path. Consider yourself lucky to see one, and even luckier if you get to shake their hand, but chances are you’ll only get glimpses when they grab the mic.
A Hot Chick Checking You Out is a Sure Thing
This is partly true, but not for the reason you think. Molly from Des Moines is not going to be that easy, but a Vegas pro will be, so you may want to check credentials before taking her back to your hotel room.
Grab Free VIP Passes From that Guy in the Street
Grab them, throw them in the trash and check in with Vegaster. Those guys in the street are either pawning free drinks to some dive no one has ever heard of, or you are getting a free pass to go ahead and stand in line, in front of Tao like everyone else. In Vegaster’s experience nothing good has ever come from something given out for “free” in the street.
You Can Show Up to a Vegas Dayclub Practically Naked
We guess you can, but you aren’t going to get in. Vegas dayclubs may celebrate the spirit of partying half-way naked, but only once you get inside. When you show up, make sure that you are properly covered up to stand in line. And FYI, even when inside, pasties and man thongs will get you thrown back outside.
You Can “Grease” the Bouncer to Get Inside
If by grease you mean follow the dress code and not act a fool in line. The typical bouncer is making way more than that fifty-spot you are throwing at him is worth. Don’t make an awkward situation worse by trying to buy your way into a club, show up dressed right in the first place and you’ll have no problem. There are always exceptions to the rule, but let Vegaster break the rules for you!
VIP Bottle Service is Too Expensive
Au contraire Vegas virgin. When you start breaking it down by the cover charge, paying for each drink, time wasted standing in line, and time wasted looking for a place to sit and chat up a cutie, it all balances out. Give Vegaster a shout and we’ll find you the hook up with a VIP host, Table, Bottles and will definitely make it well worth it even if you don’t get to brush shoulders with P-Diddy.
Bungalows and Cabanas are a Waste of Money
Would you go to the beach without a towel to sit on? Vegas dayclubs are packed during pool season, giving you little options on where to stand, let alone sit. With a cabana you get a couch to chill on and a bottle to drink from. There’s plenty of space to go around, so go with a small group and just split the cost.
No matter what you think you know, you will still be blown away the first time you enter a Vegas nightclub or dayclub. These are not your run of the mill dance clubs, but exquisite venues that are designed to encourage you to lose all your inhibitions.
