6 Refreshing New Shows Taking Vegas by Storm this Year
Dinner and a show has become kinda a thing in Vegas. It may seem cliché, but with the amount of awesome talent headlining all over the strip, you’re kinda stupid silly to not check out at least one. And if you’ve been so many times that the shows have gotten old (really?), there’s a whole new lineup of fantastic performances that will go great along with your dinner date.
53X – Now playing at Paris is 53X, an intoxicating adult only show brought to Vegas from the same group behind Chippendales. There’s guys and girls for your viewing pleasure, presented to the audience by Shangela of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame. This highly provocative show is not meant for just the girls or the guys, but performed to raise the libido of all the sexes.
Paul Zerdin – The antics of the “America’s Got Talent” winner will be making a return to the Planet Hollywood this April. Paul Zerdin, known for his crass puppets and on point ventriloquism, will perform his act for Vegas audiences through mid-June (and beyond). Expect a show packed with the same unique comedy that helped him win top prize in the first place.
Human Nature Jukebox - Now playing at the Sands Showroom inside the Venetian is Human Nature Jukebox, an Australian group that brings with them a retro cool sound from down under. From doo – wop to Diddy, and anything in between, the Human Nature Jukebox turns the stage into a party every time they grace it.
Spoofical the Musical – If you’re into poking a little fun at pop divas (and who isn’t) then Spoofical the Musical is right up your ears alley. Talented entertainers parody the likes of Mariah, Beyonce, Brittany and more, using hilarious (and possible inappropriate) jokes and jabs to highlight the ridiculousness of show biz. Tickets are already on sale for Spoofical, playing at the V Theater in Planet Hollywood.
Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth- Live on Stage – It takes balls to step inside of a boxing ring and face some of the strongest men in the world. It takes even bigger balls to get up and tell that story to hundreds of fans every night. Mike Tyson’s show at the MGM Grand is much more of a one-athlete monologue. It is a gripping tale of fame from boxing fortune, the struggle to get there and the pain when you fall. You think you already know Iron Mike? Think again… This candid conversation will show you a whole other side to one of sports most controversial personalities.
Frankie Moreno: Under the Influence – The classically trained musician brings a fresh music vibe to the strip in this breathtaking performance. Backed by the magic of a 10 piece band, Frankie Moreno adds a touch of class to your typical hits that makes it sound like you’re hearing that popular Sinatra song for the very first time. Playing at Planet Hollywood, “Under the Influence” has rightfully become one of the best performances in Vegas.
Whether it’s sex, humor or drama you’re after, Vegas can satisfy. The number of shows, and refreshing new talent, that have found their way to sin city this year is amazing. Make your reservations now right on Vegaster, and don’t worry about missing out on that other stuff, there will still be plenty of time to hit up a bar once your show lets out.
