5 New Reasons to Make a Pit Stop on the Strip in 2016
The only constant in Vegas is change. Each year we see attractions, hotels and clubs go up, and come down. 2016 is no exception to the Vegas change rule, and Vegaster has got the 411 on some of the biggest coming up:
The SLS Has Sold Their Lux to the W
The SLS has not been having a great time financially since its great grand opening just a short time ago. In an effort to stop some of the green bleed they have cut a deal with Starwood Hotels to take over the Lux Tower. This hotel within a hotel will be operated 100% by Starwood, with their own entrance, spa and pool area. With this setup, SPG members will have an incentive to head to the resort, and the SLS can reap some rewards in their restaurants and bars.
Another Spot to Get Lucky
There has been a quiet construction going on at the north side of the strip since last April, and it’s now taken some real shape. Details about the Lucky Dragon Hotel have been hushed, or it could be that we just know Chinese, but it is clear that they plan on opening sometime around August. This boutique hotel will not only have an Asian flair, it will cater to the continent with the dining, attractions and even language. Smart move considering the millions of tourists that flock to Vegas each year from the far east.
Now That the Tryst is Over Be Ready to Be Intrigued
4–28–16 and a mysterious party mask is all you find on the Wynn’s Intrigue web page. But that’s enough to get us excited about their new nightclub set to open in April. Intrigue Nightclub replaces the 10 year old Tryst, because really, a real good Tryst should never last that long. As this is the Wynn be prepared to be blown away by the state of the art lighting and sound that is being installed along with the rich furnishings. The most talked about feature however is the 1,200 square foot club inside of the club, which is designed to provide the absolute privacy by banning any sort of social media access. This means smartphones off our friends, things are about to become intriguing.
The New Jewel of the Aria
The Jewel Nightclub inside the Aria will open their doors for the first time on May 19th with none other than Jamie Foxx headlining the event. This new Vegas nightclub replaces Haze, and has totally revamped the space, adding luxurious touches that live up to the brilliant name. The Aria went all out in the design and furnishings of this newest sensation, making it one of the most anticipated new openings of 2016.
As in Eggslut. A popular restaurant concept in L.A., Eggslut will be scrambling theirs in Vegas come Spring. Chef Alvin Cailan’s unique vision can be found at the Cosmopolitan (home of the now closed Va Bene) and promises to be eggs-traordinary (come on, I couldn’t resist).
